The Fun Run is approaching! On Thursday September 21, students will enjoy time on the school track, running laps to support a fundraising effort to build a new outdoor classroom. The possibilities on this project abound and are dependent on funds raised for the effort. As a reward for said efforts, the students will get to turn their principal, Mr K, into a human ice cream sundae!
Here's the 'scoop' on how to contribute:

2) Donate Yourself: no amount is too small. With 500ish students at peak view, we can reach this total with approximately $40 per student.
3) Ask your friends and family, local businesses to contribute!
Cash & Check can be sent into the office with your completed form. Also - donating is easier than ever this year, with a new PTO Venmo account ready to purpose. @pkvespioneerspto. ** NOTE: as of 9/18, the Venmo account was frozen by the parent company for an unknown reason and we are currently working with Venmo to resolve this issue**
The fun run is a great day of joy shared with the students and staff at PKVES and the PTO is honored to sponsor this day of outdoor exercise, fun and even silliness! We get to warm up with the students, teaching them about the importance of safe and effective physical activity; we walk and talk with the students as they lap, even racing the most competitive among them; we set up obstacles and entertainment around the track; we count their success in laps by distributing jelly bracelets; and we celebrate their hard work with pictures and popsicles.
We are still dreaming up exactly what the PKVES outdoor classroom will look like, but here are some example options to inspire:
